At Care Net Consultants, we provide a comprehensive suite of Occupational Health Medical Surveillance and Services designed to protect your employees’ health, ensure legal compliance, and support your business goals.
Here’s a breakdown of what we offer:
- Pre-employment Medicals: These assessments determine if a candidate is fit for a specific job role before they are hired.
Why is it important?
It prevents the placement of employees in roles that could harm their health or safety, ensures legal compliance, and helps manage workplace risk from the start. - Baseline Medicals

diseases, and ensure control measures remain effective. For high-risk industries like construction, we provide specialised medicals, including:
• General Workers Medicals

(e.g., blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol) as part of a holistic occupational health program.
At Care Net Consultants, we understand that accurate medical testing is critical, not just for compliance but also to protect the health and safety of your workforce. That’s why we follow strict calibration protocols by legal, industry, and best-practice standards. Here’s how we ensure our equipment always meets the mark:
Audiometers (Hearing Tests): Calibrated annually, or sooner if flagged, according to SANS 10154-1 standards for audiometric equipment calibration. This includes:
- Acoustic calibration (air and bone conduction thresholds)
- Biological checks (daily listening tests) to ensure devices function correctly between formal calibrations
Spirometers (Lung Function Tests): Calibrated annually as per SANS 451:2008 standards for spirometry equipment. Daily biological calibration is performed before patient testing by trained staff—this is a quick verification process using a healthy individual or control device to ensure results remain reliable. Syringe calibration checks are also performed as part of annual calibrations by certified technicians.
Vision Screening Tools: Calibrated annually, or sooner if issues arise, to ensure accurate visual acuity and colour vision assessments.
General Medical Equipment:
- Blood pressure monitors, scales, and height meters: Checked and verified monthly by trained staff. Calibration certificates are available for inspection at any time, ensuring transparency and trust.
